What It’s Like to Be an American Expat During the Coronavirus Pandemic

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Cite facts, get called names.

Now back to the Wuhan Flu.
It's a fact that the US would be better off without black people?
Do you think the parents of baby boomers whined so much when the boomers started changing society? And yet the whiney ones like to call young people "snowflakes." Hmm...

the irony of my family’s concern for my well-being in the early days of the outbreak is not lost on me.
This line from the article really spoke to me. Being in Asia, my family in the US was very worried about me. I traveled to SE Asia in Feb and they worried even more. Now I am far more worried about the US than East Asia.

(My parents are doing fine. Dad is working from home. I tutored him on Zoom.)

Is being an American expat different to being an Aussie or English expat?
Once you've read the dictionary, every other book is just a remix.

Thank you very much for a much needed coffee break laugh. Still reeling.

Yes Donny has done such a magnificent job, that he has been endorsed for 2020 by Covid :beer3:
