Re: French-Canadian STEVE PLASSE and Cambodian Woman Busted for Meth in Kampot
We're writing the year 2020. Maybe even the French could use the English language when posting on an international forum. When I holidayed in France as a teenager and the French couldn't or wouldn't speak English, I thought okay, it's retarded but it's their country. Now I'm thinking along those same lines, but this isn't France. Rant over.

I can't decide if 'meth' sounds more beautiful in English or in French. I assumed it would sound more exotic in French.

Sounds better when spoken by someone who speaks with a high voice.

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): The Supreme Court on the morning of September 27, 2021, held an appeal hearing of a French-Canadian man and a Cambodian woman who were convicted of drug use and trafficking in Sovan Sakor Village and 1 Usaphea Village, Sangkat Kampong Kandal, Kampot City, on June 3, 2020, in accordance with the provisions of Articles 40 and 45 of the Law on Drug Control.
The trial was presided over by Judge Khim Bun, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and President of the Trial Chamber, and represented by Mr. Ouk Duch Kimson, Deputy Attorney General of the Supreme Court.
The first accused was Steve Plasse, a 41-year-old French-Canadian man, and the second was Minh Seangly, a 35-year-old woman, according to the report. The two are lovers.
The judge said that in this case, they were both sentenced by the Kampot Provincial Court on September 22, 2020, to 2 years and 6 months imprisonment each for "illegal use and trafficking of drugs ”.
The two defendants first appealed the decision of the Kampot Provincial Court at the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Court of Appeal.
However, the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Court of Appeal upheld the judgment of the Kampot Provincial Court, so the couple continued to appeal to the Supreme Court.
In this case, the Supreme Court will announce its verdict on September 30, 2021.

They have alreday been locked up for over a year. Theyll be out soon enough.
I showed the arrest picture to the wife and asked her how old she thought this woman was. Mid 50s was her reply.
