Cambodian Immigration/Visa Information

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Never heard of it either. There are tourist visas from overseas Cambodian embassies that are valid for entry for 3 months but they still only last 30 days from entry. Maybe it's something new.
Years ago, sent my passport to the Cambodian embassy in Oz, with the ash for a three month tourist visa. Passport came back, visa inside, came to Cambodia, stayed 6 weeks.
On leaving......" You overstay, $5/day".
Me...."wtf?"..... looks at visa.....dated for one month.
Love Cambodia.

Yeah, ‘love’ it!

Update:
Extending your ordinary visa to EB for 6 & 12 months requires docs - an official looking letter of employment seems to be all for now. This is also for first EB extension. It is best if employment letter has all company details including stamp.
Your ordinary visa E to EG is a one-time extension for 1, 3 or 6 months only without any docs. After 6 months leave the country and return for new ordinary visa & do it again or extend to EB/ER with docs. (no word as to if they will put a limit on how many ‘EG runs’ you can do)
Extending ER (whatever age) to ER does not need any docs.
For initial ER applications, more to follow. There are a number of applications in for people under 55 just now. Results will be reported back.
PLEASE NOTE:
This info is advisory but is based on very reliable sources. Different agents may offer different advice but all info here is correct (for now). Be aware of agents or law firms who offer shortcuts and/or fake documents. Using faked documents may come back to haunt you
Does anyone have any first-hand experience as to whether the 6 month EG is single or multiple entry?

Yeah, and fully licenced-up, with receipts, business cards, university certificates and everything!

Now we play the waiting game! :good:

He was bullshitting, but as my personal circumstances and need for a long-term, multiple-entry EOS have recently changed, I’m not too bothered.
I’ve dealt with the issue another way.

They are out there though if you’re willing to pay a premium....or hand over the appropriate documents.

Landed last Thursday & got my $35 E (ordinary) visa at siem reap airport valid 30-days

tomorrow I go to see Rachana at consultancycambodia.com in siem reap looking to extend it for 6-12-months if possible.
I've told him im merely looking for a business to buy/start but wont be trading or employing for almost a year.
ideally id like multi entry so I can pop away for Christmas & elsewhere if I fancy

thoughts on viability & cost appreciated guys

thanks you

Try for a 12 mth EG EOS, although apparently some agents are claiming the EG EOS is only available for 6mths max now

12 mth EOS = $270 - 290
6 mth EOS = $140 - $160

All 6 & 12 mth EOSs are multi entry/exit
