Re: U.S. protests as documented by the people
Then - Fallujah
On the evening of April 28, 2003, several hundred civilians ignored a curfew imposed on them by the U.S. military. They proceeded to march through the streets of Fallujah, past the soldiers positioned in the Ba'ath party headquarters. They wished to protest outside a local school about the United States military presence within. A U.S. Army Psychological Operations team attempted to force the civilians to disperse with announcements, but the team failed in this attempt.
According to locals, at this point the United States soldiers fired upon the unarmed crowd, killing 17 and wounding more than 70 of the protesters. The U.S. suffered no casualties from the incident.[2]
According to the soldiers on the ground, the 82nd Airborne soldiers inside the school responded to "effective fire" from inside the protesting crowd. Human Rights Watch found no evidence that the US forces had come under attack and it concluded that the US forces, far from shooting with precision, shot at Iraqis indiscriminately.[1]
Two days later, on April 30, the 82nd Airborne was replaced in the city.
Right now - Washington DC
US troops from the 82nd airborne division have been moved from their base in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to the outskirts of Washington DC, according to multiple reports from unnamed defense department officials.
Around 700 members of the 82nd are now poised at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland and Fort Belvoir in Virginia, the Associated Press reports. Joint Base Andrews is where Air Force One takes off when the president goes on trips and is minutes from the White House, just outside the boundary of the capital.
In addition, 1,400 more soldiers are ready to be mobilized within an hour, AP writes, according to two defense department officials, who are not named.
The soldiers are armed and have riot gear, and they also have bayonets, the agency reports.

PLEASE bring back the down vote
Hardly the time for childish attempt at humor
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

How's that supposed to work? Who knows as it's not really been tried since 1776, but it's written into the Declaration of Independence and now in very tiny gold script on the newer $100 bills.John Bingham wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 6:45 pmHow exactly is that supposed to work though? You have a very well-supplied military, I don't see how a few guys with AR-15s are going to stop them.
Given that most of the military are neighbors, coworkers, just everyday people, if it ever came to a gunfight, I'd think at least half or more would not shoot their own neighbor and countryman (I did not say won't shoot commie AntiFaKing rioters).
As to numbers, the A2 armed general populace of ussa massively outnumbers the military - it's not just a few guys with AR15s. If there was an internal war it would probably go guerilla for many years.
But primarily, the A2 is the final "or else" the american people have.
