Trump to the Rescue

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

Trump to the Rescue

Post by Doc67 »

As Minneapolis see it's third day of protests following the killing of George Floyd, President Trump thinks this is the way to help pacify and defuse an extremely volatile and dangerous situation:

"...when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!"

The governor of Minnesota is pleading for help from the National Guard. They've overrun the 3rd district police station and are looting. What action you suggest Trump take?

I suggest he lets the city authorities of Minneapolis and the state authorities of Minnesota to do their job properly, as they see fit, and not make mindless tweets just because they rhyme.

I am surprised D.C. has avoided riots so far. It is strongly African American there.
Maybe Mr Trump will be besieged in the White House.
Isn't the National Guard under the command of the State Governor?

he could tweet "'many of those protestors are fine people" he did when the KKK and various white supremacist groups demonstrated and killed somebody with a car :stir:

Whoa, that's looking really dangerous, not just for the people of Minneapolis but potentially for the rest of the US if hundreds of thousands join in protest solidarity around the country. In fact, I'm getting the idea that something even worse could happen. I'll just leave it like that.

Have to say seeing the protest through the eyes of the Australian TV coverage was a breath of fresh air compared to the usually hysterical, over-wrought, out-of-breath local US TV media.

Long term get to the root causes of these problems. Short term crack open the head of every rioter. Its a violent crime and all they understand is brute force.
