Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

This is the mere tip of the iceberg and a much bigger problem lies beneath the surface... rent!
How many schools rent their buildings? This will kill them faster than salaries as teachers cost nothing to re-hire.

Thank heavens I gave up teaching at a bricks & mortar school.... My online teaching income increases each month, $3,000+ and only limited by what hours I'm prepared to teach. If you're teaching for a B&M school, you really need to consider online teaching options :)

the roll-on effects on the general public will match these numbers. fewer hours worked, less business, fewer customers, most everyone has less money saved now... instant depression.

In the tourist town of pattaya the bars still closed, some restaurants open but far fewer customers, malls opened but with 1984 style rules and markedly fewer shoppers. many for rent/for sale signs on shop fronts, and my gf who works at BigC (like a walmart/tesco) said there's talk going around they'll close all stores by new year if business doesn't turn around for the better.

Just read in BKK Post that deputy dawg PM Prawit announced another month of emergency decree and had to add that it 'wasn't politics'.... riiight.

From the looks and vibes around here, there will be no protests, no objections, just sheep-like compliance from most Thais. Sad.

Well CIS was the first school to report infections and was rapidly closed, all the other schools had to close soon after. Descartes is doing online lessons, I'm not sure about the others.
