Another edit- I chose to read one of your stories about America camp in China. I made this comment on that page. "This is the first thing I've read of yours. Do you always think bad things about 95% of the people you meet?"

I believe out of everyone you talked about you made pointed comments on just about all of them.

Hey Ravensnest, thanks for reading and taking the time to comment. As someone who (I hope) has improved as a writer and storyteller these past years, I often look back on my earliest stuff and cringe. Over the past six months, I've been reworking all of my short story collections with a full edit, total redesign, improved photos, extra photos, SEO optimisation and, well, too much more to mention. From my collections of short stories, 'Challenged in China' is the last one to do. I think very often the 'tone' of a piece is really important, especially if one is being critical. I actually remember reading through 'Camp America' a while back and thinking lord, I need to redo this. As you most likely feel, it comes across as sneering. Put it down to my age at the time I wrote it, or indeed my general inexperience as a writer. I'm hoping that by the end of the summer I will have managed to rework the series up to the standard of my other collections. Again, thanks for the feedback.
