bokor mountain closed for foreignors

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

It's not really been closed to forigeners as much as made out; I've been up and down half a dozen times without being hassled.

Bring your passport and you should be cool.

Just don't stop unless physically forced to.

I hope you make it up there. One of the best bike trips I ever took was up that switch-back road. It was phenomenal.

And now @General Mackevili can ban me for using four letter words. He’s been waiting patiently. (Private joke)

Hope you get up there Norman.

I thought the cycling down on a bike would be very interesting . Check those brakes.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

not cycled up since March but people are reporting take your passport and you can get up now......
going up at my slow speed does give me a chance to see wild life and spot things like bits of the old road ..coming down just dont get carried away with the speed...

As it is a pretty flat road you rarely get faster than 55/60 km/h, so nothing really to get carried away. Still a bliss to descent with these hairpins and the air gets warmer every minute. And the views of course.

Its worth taking a warm pullover and a raincoat, I once got caught out in a rain shower on the decent and it can be bitterly cold.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Difficult to understand as it is outdoors and I never met a lot of people up there. Maybe a few around this monument opposite the black palace but that's all.
