Re: bokor mountain closed for foreignors
It's not really been closed to forigeners as much as made out; I've been up and down half a dozen times without being hassled.
Bring your passport and you should be cool.
Just don't stop unless physically forced to.

I hope you make it up there. One of the best bike trips I ever took was up that switch-back road. It was phenomenal.NormanChomsky wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 1:36 am i am planning on coming again to cycle up bokor mountain. Can anyone tell me is it still closed for foreignors?

And now @General Mackevili can ban me for using four letter words. He’s been waiting patiently. (Private joke)
Hope you get up there Norman.

I thought the cycling down on a bike would be very interesting . Check those brakes.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

not cycled up since March but people are reporting take your passport and you can get up now......
going up at my slow speed does give me a chance to see wild life and spot things like bits of the old road ..coming down just dont get carried away with the speed...

Re: bokor mountain closed for foreignors
As it is a pretty flat road you rarely get faster than 55/60 km/h, so nothing really to get carried away. Still a bliss to descent with these hairpins and the air gets warmer every minute. And the views of course.
Re: bokor mountain closed for foreignors
Its worth taking a warm pullover and a raincoat, I once got caught out in a rain shower on the decent and it can be bitterly cold.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Difficult to understand as it is outdoors and I never met a lot of people up there. Maybe a few around this monument opposite the black palace but that's all.
