You can always do more business with us POMS when we finally break free of the shackles of our socialist, anti democratic, bullying overlords of Brussels at the end of the year.

Item's we would be most interested in are:

decent beef cheaper than those tight fisted Scottish gits sell it to us for;

Decent wine cheaper than those tight fisted French gits sell it to us for (and without a bloody cork in it);

Cricket bats that hit the ball further than those crap ones the bloody Indians sell us;

Sunshine.

Australia does not make Holden cars anymore, so we could exchange stuff for some of those crap made Vauxhalls , Hillmans, Morris's , Austins and Triump cars that GB once made.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

It looks like the 80 % tariff China is putting on Australia's barley is going to backfire on them. Firstly the exports of barley from OZ to China are going to drop and will create a shortage thereby pushing the price up. Secondly the OZ farmers that have not already planted barley are already planning to plant wheat , oats or other grains as they know the tariff on barley is for the next 5 years ,,, again creating a even bigger shortage and a higher price. So who pays the 80 % tariff in the end,, the Chinese people , and just watch as the price of malting barley goes up so will the price of beer.

China is testing your mettle, trying to see if you'll cave in quickly so they too can backtrack and make nice, but keep it in mind for the future. If Australia, i.e. the public, get sufficiently upset with the Chinese and are fully prepared to suffer any short term hardship rather than be bullied and cowed by them, then this could backfire spectacularly on China.

Australia is just one country that is having trouble with China, China have many more lining up including the US and the EU. Australia has friends and genuinely alliances around the world. China has no true friends; they believe everyone else are just a bunch of mongrels to be used and abused. China is like the new rich guy in a hostess bar surrounded by lots of new 'friends'.

Good for Oz. Almost as many Indians as Chinese, and a whole lot more trustworthy. As a rule, if they play cricket, it's a good sign they may be honourable and play by the rules.
