I like the convenience of being able to pay my condo internet bill at a 7-11 or Family Mart, not exactly struggling for one here, there is either a 7-11 or Family Mart every 167 metres along a 3km stretch of beachfront in Jomtien. 18 outlets in 3km's :D

You can easily do that via internet banking, so not too sure how that's related to 7/11, besides maybe pointing out apparent flaws in the Thai banking system.

Personal choice, my banking requirements are very simple here so I just operate a passbook bank account without even a cashcard.

I pay my electric bill at 7/11's, everything else ....online
I have lived long enough here to know what its like without 7/11, and even thou i dont do all my shopping there,
do appreciate them here, an when i am on the road.
