About a third of US debt is foreign owned with China holding a little under 6%.
Hardly a threat to the reserve currency.

It is very sobering to compare the United States Military deaths in the long Vietnam war and those with the current Covid-19 Pandemic. They make for very sober thinking and beg the question, why is the USA not displaying the same passion and anti Covid-19 nation-wide demonstrations as experienced throughout the Vietnam war? Remember Kent State et al?

Vietnam War: US involvement is generally agreed to have started on March, 8th 1965 and to have ended with the "fall"/conquest of Saigon on 30 April 1975.

Statistics: The US military had 47,427 Combat deaths - KIA - Killed in Action and non-combat deaths of 10,785. Not to mention the 153,303 WIA - Wounded in Action and, as at 31 May 2018 the 1,597 MIA - still missing in action.

Covid-19: As at last night 92,258 Deaths and 1.56 million infected. No Purple Hearts here.

Is the next generation of "warfare" not more effectively and economically waged by viruses rather than bombs, bullets and agents orange, white and blue etc.
