Aviators gradually resume flights in and out of nation
More regional airlines have begun to slowly reinstate flights to Cambodia’s international airports this month – under strict biosecurity guidelines – as the industry attempts to desperately revive itself from its worst period in aviation history.
Cambodia Angkor Air, China Air and Eva Air all reinstated flight routes into Phnom Penh International Airport at the start of this month. Flying from Ho Chi Minh’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport – as both Vietnam and Taiwan reopened their borders to foreign travel.
Other major airlines such as, Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, Thai Airways and Emirates are also scheduling for flights to resume to Cambodia in June and July this year, coinciding with their main departure points also planning to reinstate international flight paths.
However, airlines that have decided to restart routes have also implemented strict biosecurity conditions during the flights to follow with reports of passengers having to undergo “on the spot” blood tests, as well as, wearing personal protection wear with staff seen dressed in full bio suits.
Khmer Times spoke with an Emirates representative because the carrier plans to resume flight in June has introduced on-site rapid finger prick tests for the virus at its Dubai Airport Terminal which can produce results in under 10 minute. In addition, the carrier requires passengers to wear their own masks when at the airport and on board the aircraft, and follow social distancing guidelines.

Re: KOW allowing tourist flights in again?
I keep an eye on VN air news every day. I just checked and could not find an announcement that Saigon Airport has resumed international departure flights. Currently, SGN flight status shows inbound and outbound flights are 99% domestic. The tiny handful of listed international arrivals and departures are showing "Cancelled", with one exception the last 24 hours from Tokyo NRT.CEOCambodiaNews wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 8:56 am May 5, 2020

I thought the rapid finger prick test was for antibodies only, not for active infection ???, and what about this certificate and insurance issue, does anyone know the name of an insurance company that will insure against Cov 19 ??/

This is the best source I've found on international travel restrictions:ExPenhMan wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 9:47 amI keep an eye on VN air news every day. It's pretty up to date.
For Vietnam it states, "All inbound international flights are suspended indefinitely. Flights for freight, diplomatic and official purposes are exempted from these restrictions, subject to government approval. Limited outbound flights for the repatriation of foreigners from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are still operating...All foreign travellers are banned from entering the country."
Re: KOW allowing tourist flights in again?
Well that's stuffed my Vietnam idea and just heard Qantas isn't flying anywhere unit at least after July, so I'm stuck in Australia Tv and porn for next few months for me. Shit
I'm standing up, so I must be straight.

Re: KOW allowing tourist flights in again?
to bad its full of Australians
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

They are going to have to teach the immigration officers to read English first.
Just get a cheapo travel insurance policy and with a market pen highlight the $10,000,000 hospital cover and that should do the trick. You could probably show them a car insurance policy with a $50 bill placed inside it.
I'm seriously thinking of mocking up some moody travel insurance 'cover notes' for $50 a pop. Want one?

On another topic, did you get access to the 'darknet', and if so is it worth a look ?
