Kandal Night Fisherman Dies from Electric Shock
Cambodia News (Kandal): On April 21, 2020, at 11 pm, a 25 year old man, Soeun San, died after receiving a shock while fishing with an electrical device in Chrey Moyroy village, Mok Kampol district, Kandal.
Yesterday evening, the victim went fishing with his father, equipped with an electrical kit to shock the fish. The father and son were about 10 meters apart in the dark, and when the victim's father called him and got no reply, he went to check on his son.
Tragically, when he got to the scene he saw that his son must have fallen in the water with the electrical equipment and died from the shock. The father called his family and took the victim's body home, and then they reported the incident to the police.
The police went to the house to examine the body and determined that the victim died of receiving a shock from his electrical fishing equipment. The body was taken to prepare for the funeral.

Re: Kandal Night Fisherman Dies from Electric Shock
A brother in law died like this just over a year ago in Kandal Province. It’s becoming more difficult to catch fish by conventional means.
