You lucky bastard.

Give us a bit of your aviation background.

Are you prior military or were you civil aviation all the way?

Give us all the steps in your career that lead to the Captains chair.

Better than the Imperial Japanese carrier planes.

Because there was no standardization in the construction of Imperial Japanese carriers, every carrier had unique take off and landing procedures, designed to work only on that carrier. Subsequently, pilots only knew how to take off and land on the carrier they were assigned to.

The difference between a nation with vast production abilities that could plan for standardization vs. a nation running flat out producing everything possible.

Saw it in Quora Digest maybe 1-2 months ago.

The assertion about how the US military centrally planned everything for standardization - from multiple, multiple Quora articles from tanks, to aircraft, to jeeps.
