The saddest vignette in the movie was a night time catastrophic failure, including dead stick.covidsux wrote:https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/charli ... romeo_2013
The pilot and co-pilot were the most seasoned veterans. Among the passengers was the airlines guru captain for that airframe. Together, they worked together to bring the plane back to life for an emergency landing. Airport was in sight, from the cockpit they could see the runway lights for final approach. They were making plans of how to celebrate when they landed. Then silence.
If anyone deserved a miracle. It was them.
The plane fell out of the sky. Everyone died.
I felt an immense sadness and unfairness for all the souls that perished.

Re: All Things Aviation
Vale Vincent Reffet - human flight pioneer.
Died in a training accident last week. age 36.
From a family of skydivers.
His feats including a record-breaking BASEjump from the world’s tallest building
10,000 metres jump, over Mont Blanc in France.
French national Freefly team in 2002. In 2004, he was crowned as the Freefly World Champion.
He won gold medals at the 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009 World Championships.
BASE-jumping, canopy piloting, indoor skydiving, wingsuit flying and speed riding.
He has been trained and mentored by Yves ‘Jetman’ Rossy since 2009.
This clip is of him jumping off a mountain and into a plane.
It may look like a prank to some, but the skills and discipline needed for this led to his crucial part in Project Human Flight.
This project requires amongst the very highest level of physical, technical, intellectual and emotional skills that a human person can achieve.
So, this is really for all test pilots. that remarkable small band with extraordinary imaginations
- and the skills to pull it off.
Also some good Project Human Flight /Jetman footage back back here at Heaven's Gate >>
