I think premeditated murder is premeditated murder no matter what you call it...choice..women's rights..abortion.

I submit it is on topic because taking a life IS THE SUBJECT of the thread.
You have those who think capital punishment is uncivilized and those who want old testament revenge.
Of course, there are many places on Earth who think abortion is barbaric and as uncivilized as it gets.
Most of you are from places that look down your noses at these people.
You follow china's lead and extinguish the beating hearts of millions without one moment of hesitation.

So you are trying to say that she should have aborted him, because he attacked her years later with a meat cleaver? What would you do if you were stuck with a pregnancy with no back up plan? Those kids often end up on welfare, do you want to pay that with your taxes?

You are off topic, because the topic is that a grown man attacked his mother. This is not about mothers attacking their childen.
