Travel ban from midnight tonight?
Re: Travel ban from midnight tonight?
Travel between PP and Kandal is still allowed.
Re: Travel ban from midnight tonight?
Yes, they reworded it a bit today, Phnom Penh and Kandal are one area and travel between districts is allowed.
"The new decision sets the capital Phnom Penh and Kandal province as a single location that is not under restriction. It also states that travels are restricted only from province to province; people can still move from one district to another in a province."

Re: Travel ban from midnight tonight?
It hardly inspires confidence when they flip-flop about everything.
On the 7th all airport arrivals were to self-quarantine, by the 8th it was at official quarantine centres.
Yesterday intra-district travel banned. Today it's intra-province travel banned.
Policy making on the hoof is rarely effective. Flip-flopping too much causes a collapse in confidence.
(Good job nobody takes the competent authorities seriously)

Does anyone know if it's still OK to go to Silk Island?
Or, North of Phnom Penh to Kandal Province?
Struggling to get clarity on the specifics of the travel ban, and what classes as a district etc.
Cheers

They clarified today that PP and Kandal province will be counted as one. Koh Dach belongs to PP anyway so there shouldn’t be an issue.Simon_Miles wrote: ↑Fri Apr 10, 2020 10:34 pm Does anyone know if it's still OK to go to Silk Island?

I just noticed that Koh Dach is Phnom Penh and the nearby Koh Okhna Tei is Kandal province.theKid wrote: ↑Fri Apr 10, 2020 11:11 pmThey clarified today that PP and Kandal province will be counted as one. I've heard people can't get into PP from Arek Ksat without a work permit... I thought that was Kandal.

Sorry to put a fly in the ointment but I asked Mrs Cargo that yesterday and she said her good friend's mother got stopped going to Koh Dach. So not definitive..anecdotal.. However maybe still worth a try nevertheless but prepare for possible disappointment.John Bingham wrote: ↑Fri Apr 10, 2020 11:35 pmI just noticed that Koh Dach is Phnom Penh and the nearby Koh Okhna Tei is Kandal province.theKid wrote: ↑Fri Apr 10, 2020 11:11 pmThey clarified today that PP and Kandal province will be counted as one.
