Korean Suicide Victim in Phnom Penh Left a Note Saying "Sorry"
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On April 3, 2020, at 7:20 pm, a 38-year-old South Korean man, KUNCHEUL HONG, was found dead in the toilet of his room at a guesthouse on street 178, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.
According to Long Kimcheang, the guesthouse manager, the Korean man checked in at the guesthouse on March 30, at 10:40 am. On April 3, Vy Sokna, a cleaner, went to the victim's room, but smelled a dead body, so she reported to the manager. The manager and the staff went to knock on the bathroom door, but there was no reply, so they broke the lock and found the victim's body. The man was found hanging and had left a suicide note. The manager reported the case to the police immediately.
After receiving the information, the specialist police went to the scene for a post mortem examination and reported to the prosecutor, the criminal police, and the Department of Immigration. Mr. Norng Sovannaroth, the autopsist, concluded that the victim had committed suicide by hanging.
The victim's belongings were sent to the South Korean Embassy, except the passport that needed to be sent to the the Ministry of Interior. The body has been taken to keep at Tuek Thlar pagoda.
RIP.

Yeah terrible, only 38 may he RIP. Not sure who he is saying sorry to, at first it looks like to everyone, addressed as "guys" but then mentions "here" maybe acknowledging that it causes troubles for hotel staff and the authorities. Too young to go, RIP.

Sounds like he was apologizing to the hotel staff who would inevitably stumble upon his dead body (and clean up). Feel bad for everyone involved, especially the Korean guy.Marty wrote:Yeah terrible, only 38 may he RIP. Messed with the image contrast to get a clear Google translate.
This the most logical translation I could get
"If you come to the embassy, I'm very frustrated first. It's hard to live, so I make an extreme choice. I just sin."
But Google translate is only good as a rough guide
