It's more like the Brits, whatever their class, whatever they say - have too strong an inherited inner need to have ruling class toffs running the show.

I reckon this absurd approach to drugs probably stems directly from his Uni days.
Some of his pals would have been enticed into exactly this "country line" style of middle class dealing - so he thinks he knows all about the drug trade.
And his crowd were probably all occasional Class A snorters, at least - so the idea of the cops calling up all the customers from the dealers contact lists and giving them a stern talking-to and sending them off to counselling seems very fair and reasonable.

Ludicrous - who voted for this obvious court jester/clown? [in another country on the other side of the world that I will never go to] FTFY
I hope he doesn't send any war ships over to this side of he world. (seriously)
What vexes thee so much Uncle Stern? You seem all hot under the collar.

Was your butler late bringing you your Ovaltine?

I always thought that the danger of coronavirus was the hospitals becoming filled up with sick patients therefore denying services to seriously sick patients. However it seems the governments have taking full opportunity to stamp their authority on the population. This new variant is not even dangerous it's more like a mild case of the flu with very few people being hospitalized from it and yet the government and media continue to fear monger. I was hoping that they were just being ultra cautious until they knew more about this variant but now there is plenty of data from South Africa to show that it's not that dangerous and yet still government and media continue to fear monger.
Be your own toy.
