It's hot in the UK, and people are sleeping with a fan on. Experts have warned that is bad for your health. One of the problems is that you can wake up in the morning feeling stiff, apparently.

After five years of the family fighting for a slice, which is a lot less because of lawyer fees.

Dr Harold Shipman was convicted of euthanising 218 of his elderly patients in 1998. None of the relatives complained until he forged a Will of the 218th one whereby he inherited the £386k estate in place of the deceased's children (one of whom was a lawyer).

The moral of the story is... don't f**k with lawyers.

(If he had just appended a codicil leaving him £20,000 "for all his care and attention" etc he might well have got away with it.)

Doctors warn over increasing number of young people with Covid in ICU
A senior intensive care registrar urged youths to get jab saying Covid patients are ‘getting younger and younger
Sun 25 Jul 2021 14.47 BST

Increasing numbers of young people with coronavirus are being admitted to hospital – including to intensive care wards – doctors have warned, begging them not to “suffer unnecessarily” and to get the jab.

During the first weekend after the majority of Covid restrictions were lifted in England there were pictures of crowded nightclubs, filled with revellers not wearing masks or social distancing. Medics raised the alarm that unvaccinated young people urgently needed to protect themselves against infection to avoid serious illness.

The warning came as scientists gave a cautious welcome to the fifth day in a row of falling Covid case rates – the first time that cases have seen a sustained fall without a national lockdown.

The UK recorded 29,173 new cases on Sunday, down from 48,161 the week before. But NHS England said one-third of 18- to 29-year-olds had still not had at least one dose of the vaccine – a figure that falls to one in 10 for the whole adult population.

While young people are generally at a much lower risk of dying from Covid, doctors say they are increasingly witnessing them become severely unwell. Dr Samantha Batt-Rawden, senior intensive care registrar, said the patients they were seeing were “getting younger and younger”.

A graph to illustrate this rather surprising turn of events of falling cases numbers one week after Freedom Day, and also to highlight the apparent dislocation of rising cases and the accompanying rising death rates:

Reason to be optimistic?

They're going to have a hard time ramping up the fear-factor if no one is dying.

I have always said that if this virus lays you on your back for 2 weeks of misery, but leaves the NHS out of things, the government will not give a shit about it, or you. The moment you start clogging up the NHS and dying, they get all upset and squeamish about it.

Now that we know that being vaccinated doesn't stop you getting infected, infection rates should be largely ignored. As long as the vaccine keeps you out of hospital 99.5% of the time and 95% of hospital admissions get to walk out of the place, the game will be up for Covid.

The government will happily tolerate 10,000 deaths a year to regain £400 Billion of lost GDP. (£40 Million per death)
