It just gets worse. Good job they cancelled Christmas!

More than 100,000 people have died from coronavirus in the UK since the disease first appeared in the country almost a year ago, in what public health experts said is a sign of “phenomenal failure of policy and practice”.

On Wednesday the daily figure for recorded deaths was 1,564 – a new record high bringing the total to 101,160, according to analysis of figures from government and statistical agencies. The toll far exceeds some of the worst-case scenario estimates made during the first wave of the pandemic.

It comes amid warnings that the toughest weeks of the crisis are yet to come and that Britons are facing an epidemic of grief for lost relatives and loved-ones, with many forced to mourn alone amid lockdown measures and curbs on funerals.

UK has a backbench rebellion coming up. This time it's to accuse the Chinese Government of "Genocide" of it's Uighur Muslim People. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/ ... trade-bill

We're supposed to be leaving this week, booked our tickets a couple of days ago when the visa came through. Will update here on how it goes.

Negative test required for entry. There's been some hoo-ha that instead of random checks, every arriving passenger is getting temperature checked and it has been causing 90+ minute delays getting through immigration. It's not limited to any particular inbound country/region.

No. You don’t understand; I DO NOT want to go back, and I DO want it to be because of COVID. I just need it to be someone else’s decision.

You are still allowed to transit through Singapore to London because your travel history with the UK is now more than 14 days old . But you can't come the other way. Silk Air/Singapore airlines all the way.

You need a Covid-19 negative test which is classic British humour and I doubt you will even be asked to produced it (staff shortages etc)

Sorry mate...

Heads up gentlemen, we have a trespasser. He's found our little village and is now throwing stones at our windows.

Shall we release the hounds?
