Cambodia News (Sihanoukville): On April 1, 2020, Sihanoukville criminal police had a busy night, when they arrested seven thieves, both Chinese and Cambodian nationals, involved in 4 separate cases of theft.

Case 1. On April 01, at 1 am, the police stopped two Chinese men, who were riding their motorbike in a suspicious fashion in the street; every time the police drove up close to them, they speeded up. Eventually they were arrested on Independence road, Sangkat 2, Sihanoukville. The police searched the men and found some tools for stealing motorbikes and other tools.

Case 2. On April 01, at 2:10 am, the police arrested two Cambodian men who rode an Airblade motorbike and found some tools for stealing a motorbike and a fake number plate, at the Golden Lions statue, in Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville.

Case 3. On April 1, at 3:30 am, the police arrested two of three suspects who were stealing air conditioners at the Golden Lions statue in Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville.

Case 4. On April 1, at 4 am, the police on patrol and arrested a man who stole a generator in Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville.

The police are preparing the case of suspects with the evidence following the legal action.

Cambodia News, Sihanoukville: Police detained two Chinese suspects for aggravated robbery after they smashed the window of a car to break in and steal the contents at dusk on April 3, 2020, at Otres 2, Sihanoukville.

Cambodia News, (Preah Sihanouk province) : Two Cambodian nationals were arrested by police for theft on the night of Thursday, April 4, 2020, in Sihanoukville.
The arrest was made when the two suspects were stopped by the cops while driving with a stolen air-conditioner on their motorcycle. It was 1am and police considered that it was a suspicious time of night to be delivering air conditioning units.

The two men have been taken into custody and charged with theft.

Cambodia News (Sihanoukville): On April 8, 2020, Sihanoukville officers on patrol arrested three thieves on two motorbikes near Khmer Broneth guesthouse, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville. After searching the suspects, the police found a kit of tools used for robbery in their possession, so they took them into custody. It appears that the three men were planning to go out stealing that night.

The suspects were taken for questioning at the Sihanoukville minor crime department following the legal procedure, and the two motorbikes were confiscated by the authorities.

Cambodia News, Sihanoukville: Last night, Preah Sihanouk Provincial Criminal Police Force arrested three suspects in two separate cases of theft.

Case 1: On 10 April 2020 at 5pm in Village 3, Sangkat 1, Sihanoukville, police forces arrested a suspect, Teang Chamroeun, a 26-year-old male, for stealing 691,000 Riels, 2 bank cards, 1 cell phone, 1 car key.

And Case 2: On April 11, 2020, at 00:40 am, a roadside patrol in front of the Angkor Beer Factory in Village 2, Sangkat 1, Sihanoukville, stopped two male Cambodian suspects who were transporting a stolen air conditioner.

In both cases, the Criminal Police Office is continuing its legal proceedings with the court.
