Have you lost your job due to Corona Virus? Need a CV?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I can't teach Chat GPT to write a CV like I do.

Now that you have your own domain name, I suggest you stop linking to your Gmail address on the website, but instead create a new address on your new domain, like [email protected], or [email protected].

It will prevent your emails from being delivered in SPAM folders and give you bonus points with Google Search.

Thanks Dad!
I've been using [email protected] for several years, I've just changed domain and am in the process of setting up the new email. It's in progress, thanks.
My focus was getting the site set up, today I am working on things like new email and SEO.

I was hoping for feedback on the ACTUAL SITE though, not what I haven't yet done.

your site has NO meta data< no title , no keywords, no image tags no description in ur source

what is this at the top? Résumés Etc something overlaid

no date at the bottom when created.
move search box to far right side

other than simple SEO work, nice, simple and clean site

FYI :
in ur source code you have all this crap: find a way to get rid of it as all ur doing is giving info to crawlers for things nothing to do with you

Thanks very much, very valuable feedback. Working on meta data today. The site is through WIX, not sure I can edit the source code though.

My only comments (and they are intended to be constructive):

There is no clear entity/identity either in a header or a logo.

You've been writing CV's for 15 years, the home page design looks like it has been around for 15 years. That may not necessarily be a bad thing, it may depend on your target market.

The Testimonials page: way too much crowded in and loads of tiny lettering, and the font for the "signatures" etc (this applies to other pages as well) may not be clear for someone whose first language doesn't use Latin script.

Having said the above, if this came up as a search result I would be likely to trust it and make contact.

I should add that the majority of my clients come from me directing them to the site, not from people randomly looking up international CV writers.
I own a Facebook group of 33 thousand people moving to Canada and the USA and a lot of my business comes from there, from me posting the link to my website.

There's loads of meta tags. Modern systems don't create websites like in 2001, with <title> tags, <H1>, <H2> etc. etc.

Code: Select all

  <meta property="og:title" content="Resumes Etc | Roz Fisher - International CV Specialist"/>
  <meta property="og:description" content="Roz Fisher has been an international résumé (also called a CV) writer for Australia, New Zealand, Canada, UK, Asia and Africa for fifteen years.
You can trust Résumés Etc to produce a CV that beats the CV scanning software (ATS)!"/>
  <meta property="og:url" content="https://www.rozcv.com"/>
  <meta property="og:site_name" content="Resumes Etc"/>
  <meta property="og:type" content="website"/>
  <meta name="google-site-verification" content="t0oqVDrMY-lGBwkGW8-k1ogbZtAxtNNatbgy31QxIGU"/>
  <link rel="alternate" href="https://www.rozcv.com/blog-feed.xml" type="application/rss+xml" title="Resumes Etc - RSS"/>
  <meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image"/>
  <meta name="twitter:title" content="Resumes Etc | Roz Fisher - International CV Specialist"/>
  <meta name="twitter:description" content="Roz Fisher has been an international résumé (also called a CV) writer for Australia, New Zealand, Canada, UK, Asia and Africa for fifteen years.
There's some room for improvement, but it isn't as bad a you suggest. Google will easily crawl this website and understand what it's about thanks to the meta tags. The pictures even have an ALT description.
