Have you lost your job due to Corona Virus? Need a CV?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. The inspiration for my book came from a friend, who had recently started working as a teachers’ aide.

It was her first time in this position, so she was brand new to a classroom environment.

In her first week on the job, she was given the task of supervising the seniors while they wrote their CVs.
She had no experience in teaching and felt incredibly inadequate, since she couldn’t help the students.

She came to me with a question – ‘How do I help these kids create a CV when they haven’t done anything?’

I thought about the issue that weekend and on the Monday, presented her with a strategy which was to become the outline for this book.

The fact that an inexperienced, non-teacher was given the task of assisting students with their CVs made me realise two things:

1 – Educators do not know how to help students write a CV
If they knew how to teach CV writing, they would not fob it off to an inexperienced teachers’ aide

2 – There is no resource available for teachers, to assist with CV writing
If there was one, teachers would be using it!
I hear the same lament from teachers everywhere – they don’t know how to teacher CV writing to students who haven’t worked in a ‘real job.’

My dream is that this book empowers teachers everywhere to teach CV writing in a way that inspires and motivates their students.

good luck with the book
BUT $29?
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

$29 Australian, which includes a CV template as well ;)
I charge $100 for a CV, so the book is quite good value.

It's on offer. US$ equivalent is about $21. That's not exactly expensive.
If you can't afford that, then post your random CV on the free CEO job forum and see what you get. :hattip:

There's one mention of 'australian' in the small price description (not the large font) but when I check out....

TBH the pricing isn't that clear.

Suggestion for improvement from someone who's in online business himself.

Good luck with your book Roz and great idea. I looked at thousands of potential candidates CV's over the years in Africa and Asia and I found it a pretty humbling experience realising in a lot of cases there probably wasn't much help or education available. Anything that improves youngsters chance of getting a good start in their working life is worthwhile. :thumb:

My team and I are very excited to launch this package.
Every week we are receiving more inquiries about moving to Canada so I've put together this specific package, focusing on the Canadian NOC codes and making sure the CV meets those requirements.
