Health Certificate to get out of Cambodia (via Bangkok)
Re: Health Certificate to get out of Cambodia (via Bangkok)
You're reading a bit too much into my statement because I've left a lot out. I need to return to Canada sometime this spring/summer and then back to Thailand to pull my stuff out at the end of my apartment lease, i.e., I want my two month deposit back the end of July. I won't stay once my extension expires in August because I refuse to pay for the worthless health care package that now seems to be the added cost (35k to 50k) to a retirement extension.Cowshed Cowboy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 11:06 amHow many times have you posted you're sick of Thailand, you hate the country, you're leaving, you've had enough? And now you're worried about getting back in!!!!
It's been the last time every year since this forum was set up.
I've never "hated" Thailand (or Vietnam or Cambodia) because it's not a word I would use. I've liked moving back and forth over 10 years or so. But I seem to have about a 6-month limit on periods in Bangkok where most of my best friends like to live. I get tired of the big city pandemonium, sometimes vowing never to return. But close friendships are a hard thing to leave behind for any great length of time.

Expenhman:Told ya this 2x now;....I won't stay once my extension expires in August because I refuse to pay for the worthless health care package that now seems to be the added cost (35k to 50k) to a retirement extension.
1. for an extension on a NON o visa u dont need show insurance, ONLY for non O-A visa issued in ur own country
2. you can get a 1 year visa in Penang. only need show 800,000 in bank for 1 day, and a letter saying ur retired or receiving any kind of pension.
as to the BS health letters issued n Cambodia, its obvious thailand knows the khmers dont have the ability to test people so......
Good luck over there, ur prices are going to start going up for everything, (Or runs out) till this plays out

Not sure how accurate this is from the French embassy... apparently Bangkok transit passengers now only need a “fit to fly” certificate.

It's Thailand they have to be seen to be doing something even if it doesn't make sense

Just about any clinic will issue a Fit to Fly document.
I'm a travel agent in Cambodia and 12 of our guests got their documents in the morning and were able to take the Thai Airways flight Phnom Penh/Bangkok last night. They got it at AEMC https://european-medicare.com/ $40 and didn't take very long.
It was important to have the insurance details showing Covid-19 cover also.
All my 12 guests were waitlisted when they arrived at the airport for a fully booked flight. They got on, meaning at least 12 confirmed passengers did not board because they didn't show up/were refused as documents not in order.
