Re: Just thinking about visa extensions in next month
I've had a look on the official UK travel advice website.
It still says there is a ban on the 6 countries we already know about. I'm inclined to believe their information is up to date.
They mention all the bans in Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, etc Even down to details like Luzon being quarantined.
So looks like everything okay so far (touch wood)

Re: Just thinking about visa extensions in next month
I've emailed World Express to ask about visa extensions.
I can let you know what they reply because some might be in the same boat as me.
If most of you already have visas with months left on them you should be fine.
But I can't see this thing going away in a few months.

Re: Just thinking about visa extensions in next month
I think i recently read somewhere that they will allow people to apply for as many extensions necessary until the crisis is over. It sucks for me I was offered a job in China and thanks to the virus I am unable to go to China.SiemReapRoddy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 8:36 pm I've emailed World Express to ask about visa extensions.

Re: Just thinking about visa extensions in next month
My situation may prove somewhat awkward if/when the situation starts to relax internationally.
I’m currently in Europe, rotating between Belgium and UK.
I have an EG- extension, expiring in June.
I do not see travel options being available before then, which means that my next arrival to Cambodia would be after my visa has expired.
The latest information is that Cambodia are not currently issuing, or have suspended for the present
-Visa on Arrival
-e-visa
-tourist visa
-visa exemptions
My family are in Phnom Penh. I may be missing something, but the way I read it currently is that even if I could get to ANYborder of Cambodia, after my visa extension expires, I would not be able to enter the country.
What have I missed?
(Other than the young fella’s first birthday two weeks ago, his first steps, the other half, and things family related)

Re: Just thinking about visa extensions in next month
EG extensions are being issued for only one month at a time for now. Hopefully they will come up with a three or six month option though because it's gonna use up a few passport pages before we can travel again.
I paid $50 for mine, another agent quoted $55.

If you have an Irish passport (it's not on the banned list), a visa from a Cambodian embassy, and the insurance for $50,000 it is technically possible.Freightdog wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2020 5:04 pm My situation may prove somewhat awkward if/when the situation starts to relax internationally.

Did you have to have the $50,000 insurance, if you don't mind me asking?timmydownawell wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2020 6:38 pm EG extensions are being issued for only one month at a time for now.
