Does Siem Reap have any parks with trees where I could set up slackline?

Go for it, OP! Great to see an expat doing something active and healthy.
You have tree protectors, the parks are rarely crowded and you will give the locals endless pleasure.
-not to mention possibly becoming an inspiring to all those kids who dream of picking up things beyond their current narrow restricted world.

Going to Sri Lanka or Bali end of year.hanno wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2020 11:10 amAs you cannot go anywhere to surf at the moment, it is a moot point.SiemReapRoddy wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2020 11:06 am It's balance and coordination training for surfing.
Any real suggestions would still be appreciated.
Maybe go for a walk? Haven’t been to SR for three months but seem to recall there was the odd tree around.
Want to avoid wipeouts lol

I agree without tree protectors, but the ones I have are excellent.Sweet Lemon wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 8:33 am Slacklines damage trees.
Cambodia has so few public green spaces, and doesn't have a lot of sturdy trees, like oak, pine, or redwood. For a Westerner to show up in the country and rope of meters and meters of public park space with a slackline that strains and strips the bark off local trees is just inconsiderate and dickish.

Shut up Roddy ^^^ surfing is crowded enough without all the CEO members suddenly joining the rush.

Yeah I will eventually leave for the kids, I'm just scared they might break an arm or something.Kahuna wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 8:26 am Use the trees along the riverbank up from the Old Market towards the post office or as suggested buy a skateboard. X Bar has a ramp so you can use that at night. Don't want to carry it around when (if) you leave SR then give it to the kids but throw in a helmet as well. Costs less than you might spend on a night out.
Hopefully they don't try backflips on it because it's a trickline lol

I'd just try along the riverside, maybe near the Catholic Church, lots of trees there and quiet during the day. At night vendors often setup stalls
up to you...

There is a park which locals call something like 'Bong / Bung Kilo'.
A few trees in there which might be suitable.
It's in front of the Raffles hotel.
Good luck!
