Cambodia News (Siem Reap): A 32-year-old man, Touch Tola, from Prey Veng, has been arrested for stealing foreigners' belongings at two Siem Reap guesthouses.

On March 12, 2020, at 7 pm, the suspect stole an HP laptop from a Brazilian woman, FRANCINI LOUIZI DA SILVA , 32 years old, who was staying in the dormitory room at Kafu guesthouse, Siem Reap. Then, he went to stay at Noni Tree guesthouse, taking the laptop with him.

Then at 8:30 pm, the suspect stole a Samsung phone from a French man, FLORIAN AURELIEN CHOUQUET, 26 years old, staying in the dormitory at Noni Tree guesthouse, and he took the stolen phone back to his other place at Kafu guesthouse.

On March 13, at 11:30 am, after receiving the complaint, the police went to check the guests at Noni Tree guesthouse, and they found the victim's laptop concealed in the suspect's backpack. After that, the police asked the suspect about the stolen phone, and the suspect confessed that he had stolen both the laptop and the phone from foreigners staying in the two guesthouse dormitories.

The thief still had the stolen goods on him, and the police confiscated them and returned them to the victims. The suspect was detained for case preparation for submitting to the court.
