Declan Archer has finanlly been arrested in Cambodia and is currently in locked up in Immigration. It's reported that he was arrested on March 30, 2020 overstaying his visa, narcotics, public affray and threatining locals. He is said to have swollowed some drugs on him when Cambodian authorities arrested him and demanded they give him water to wash them down with. When they refused, he drank water out of a toilet to wash them down with. He has been ordered to leave Cambodia and is awaiting deportation, hopefully back to the UK and not off to some neighboring country.

He has been saying on social media that he has plans to return to Koh Rong on his birthday (April 10), although it seems very unlikely that he will be able to do that.

Interestingly enough, he has made some new friends. British fugitive Terrence Murrell who has been sentenced in the UK for his part in selling steroids, and another friend, Omeya Wesay, who was arrested in Cambodia last year for not having a passport.
