New form to keep track of foreigners in Kingdom- Foreigners Present in Cambodia System (FPCS)

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

so there's no way of me checking if the landlord completed the registration?
Just ask your landlord to show you that he has checked you in... How hard is that?
uh, yeah, I know, but what proof should I ask for? is there an online record he can share with me?

Can you not take your passport and ask at Immigration out at the airport, if you are on the records.?
I guess you've never been there and experienced their first class service?

I strongly recommend to ask your landlord for a screenshot through Whatsapp or Line or whatever. A sixpack will loosen your landlord up a bit. Much more convenient than a visit to the DoI.

@fazur
Isn't it that the landlord needs your passport incl. the visa page to check you in?
Or is there another way as well?
Best to be with him when he does the check-in.

Or even better do it for him on your iPad while he hands you his ID card to scan and confirms the minute details for the property address. Then all you have to do is log into it to update “your” visa extension and any family members who are staying with you.

But then my landlord lets me read my own meter in the 1st of every month, turns up for his rent and utility bills any time up to 20 days into the month and once didn’t turn up at all until the last day of the month and was surprised when I wanted to read the meters and pay for the next months rent (all a day early).

My landlord at the hotel I am staying in Siem Reap seems either unable to unwilling to complete the required FCPS app. Has anyone any idea as to what recourse I have?

update

so it turns out the landlord did NOT register me as he said he did.only admitted it when i asked for proof. schmuck.

he (says he) paid the sangkat $100 to register the new lease in my name.....hmm....

anyway, asked his son to assist and using the info from the new lease and passport and visa fotos, its done now

my advice is sit down with the owner, the lease, the passport and visa fotos and go through the steps

when it says you're registered, snapshot and save just in case the database disappears conveniently

General Department of Immigration: Today, on the morning of March 10, 2020, Lieutenant General Ouk Haysala, Deputy Director General of Immigration, together with HE Kith Chantharith, Director General of the Immigration Department, held a meeting at the Provincial Police Department to introduce the Foreigner Presence in Cambodia System( FPCS) .

At the meeting, Lt. Gen. Ouk Haysala conveyed the recommendation to Prey Veng authorities to manage foreigner presence by using this FPCS system.

HE Ouk Haysila also advised the police to pay attention to how to use the FPCS system in order to train and give instruction to owners of hotels, guesthouses or residences occupied by resident foreigners.

After that, the FPCS System Management and Management team made a presentation on how to create an account and how to use the FPCS system.

It should be informed that the purpose of the introduction of the Electronic Foreigner Management System is to facilitate the management of foreign visitors to Cambodia.

So far, some foreigners have committed various crimes in the provinces and have been hiding in lodges, hotels, casinos. In this situation, when foreign authorities seek to enter the country, it is difficult to find the culprits.

The use of FPCS (Foreigner Presence in Cambodia System) identifies all foreigners and goes into the competent computer management system and facilitates finding foreigners, especially transnational criminals living in Cambodia.
Gents:

Amazingly my landlord may know nothing about this registration procedure. My visa agent advised me early this very evening June 30th not to worry, he will ring the landlord tomorrow morning and set it up for me.

My ER visa is renewable in mid-August. I trust the Immigration people are not fussy over missing the deadline by a few hours' time.

Rules honoured in the breach?
