COVID-19: Tally Rises to 38,427 with 468 New Cases
AKP Phnom Penh, June 13, 2021 --

The total confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Cambodia jumped to 38,427 this morning with the detection of 468 new infections.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Health, 31 of the new cases are imported and the rest are community cases linked to the Feb. 20 incident.

At the same time, 636 more patients have successfully recovered from COVID-19; the total recovered cases in Cambodia now stood at 31,858.

Besides, there were 15 new coronavirus-related deaths; the total fatal cases rose to 335.
- AKP
38k cases and 335 deaths ... so a fatality rate of 0.87%
Or, in other words, a 99.13% chance of surviving.

Or have I missed something here?

A lot.

If all these ‘survivors’ never use hospital or clinics or medicine, or Kru Khmer, and never miss any days at work due to the virus, or any long term illnesses related to the virus - if having the virus doesn’t cause any burden on society, then you would be correct.

However, India almost ran out of oxygen, and western countries almost ran out of ICUs because of it.

Also, if someone like Ironman happened to be part of the 0.17%, and die from the virus (a prominent okhna already has died from the virus), the country would be thrown into chaos.

Looking only from the prism of mortality is like blind man feeing only an elephant’s tail to know what is an elephant.

That’s how I feel.

Be safe out there everyone. We get through it together. With vaccination.

...but you CAN catch it and transmit it post 'vaccination'. Oxford dictionary: Vaccine "a substance that is put into the blood and that protects the body from a disease". This 'vaccine' doesn't do that. It's a shield at best. Nothing wrong with that, but call it what it is.
You know that tingly little feeling you get when you really like someone? That's common sense leaving your body.
