do it yourself.. just go like me KOJAK style lolDoc67 wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 8:40 am Has anyone noticed many business' opening up in the yellow zones?
I drove down street 19 for 154 and 240 and it is still virtually all shuttered. Is this the economic reality beginning to show?
"Everybody back to work.... Where is everybody?"
I am in dire need of a haircut and my regular shop on 154 is on the wrong side of the street. The ones that were on street 19 (near 154) have not re-opened. Very little seems to have done.
Manhattan keeps on making it, Brooklyn keeps on taking it

Talking of Chile, it is worth noting here that after a shaky start with the Chinese vaccines and the discovery of very low protection levels after just one shot, their third major outbreak seems to be subsiding as their second shots are administered.beerlaodrinker wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 5:47 pmSurging ahead to repeat the success of Chile with the Chinese vaccines.timmydownawell wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 5:22 pmVarious metrics here, just select from the down lists: https://ourworldindata.org/covid-casesBitte_Kein_Lexus wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 2:31 pm Is there a government tally somewhere of the % of the population which has been inoculated? Must be around 5-10% by now. They've received around 4M doses, correct? I think the only thing that can stop this now is mass inoculation, which wouldn't necessarily reduce transmissions, but the rate of hospitalization would be drastically small.
1.34m doses as of 30/4.
Correlation or causation? Time will tell, but the Chilean studies bode well for Cambodia if they can secure enough vaccine from China, and pdq.

Cambodia has not had time to get Long Covid yet, Covid only really hit two months ago (this thread is about Covid in Cambodia).michele.nayman wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 6:35 am Excellent, up-to-date medical information on Long Covid. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2 ... Ct1WsAIrLg
My hunch is that it will never be much of an issue here. As the Bible says, there are the quick and the dead. Khmers may die from Covid, they may think they are going to die from Covid, or even from the vaccine - but if they don't die they will live and get on with life. Bear in mind there are no benefits to claim if you are Long Covid and no researchers are going to come round asking how you feel. In the West, people are financially incentivised to be sick and disabled. That doesn't mean they are always putting it on but it does make things very different from Cambodia.

with 13, 400 cases in Cambodia that equates to 2,680 people
FYI:
no one is diagnosed with long covid, you have symptoms or not and they come and go, but there are no tests for it.
Also, so far......NO cures

There is no test for Parkinson's (and other diseases) but it can still be diagnosed.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 8:17 am

To be clear, I am not saying Long Covid does not exist, I am saying it will not be regarded as significant in Cambodia (rightly or wrongly). And because it will not be incetivised, it will be less prevalent than in countries where it is incentivised.
BTW, there may in fact be a cure for Long Covid. Ivemectin has shown promise. I linked to this a while back. It was in one of Dr John Campbell's videos.

unfortunately she was working in the emergency room of a 24 hour veterinarian hospital and cause of the symptoms can no longer do her job.
BUT she is now selling cactus online and is happy, so when one door closes...another opens..
what is important is there many many out there that are suffering long covid and very little is known so lots more research has to be done.
we truly are on unknown grounds
