Just saw that now. Anyone who thinks this lockdown is going to end after 14 days can probably think again.theKid wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 12:56 pmIt’s going to be 618 cases today. 493 in PP alone.Phnom Poon wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 9:07 pm the situation has already got better
if it were spiraling out of control we'd be seeing 1000's/day by now
but we had 500+ new cases/day a week ago, down to 1,2,300 now
according to official figures
still no explanation for why vaccinations have been cancelled for just 3 days
and just when new supply has arrived

Travel Ban and Resort Temporary Closure Extended for Eight More Days
AKP Phnom Penh, April 18, 2021 -- The ban of travel and the temporary closure of tourist resorts across Cambodia will continue for eight more days until April 28.
According to a new decision of the Royal Government released yesterday, the move is aimed to combat and prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic from one province to another.
On April 6, 2021, Cambodia announced to restrict the travel inside the country for 14 days, from April 7 to 20. Phnom Penh capital and Kandal province are considered one area, not under the restriction scope.
Land, water and rail goods transport; travel of civil servants for their daily work and of armed forces on duty; transport of migrant workers from abroad to their home town for quarantine; ambulances; fire engines; garbage trucks; workers’ transport to their workplaces; and people’s travel to the nearest hospital or health centre with not more than 4 people for each case are not included in the travel restrictions.

They need to focus vaccinations on hospital workers (22 of the 227 cases of #COVID19 announced on Friday were doctors at the Preah Kosamak Hospital), plus factory and market workers. Forget about old people, start with the people who have most contacts/risk of spreading it.

No idea if there is any system at all. I know perhaps 50 people who’ve had their shots, some already had their second one, all below the age of 30 and none of them high-risk or frontline.timmydownawell wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 1:54 pm They need to focus vaccinations on hospital workers (22 of the 227 cases of #COVID19 announced on Friday were doctors at the Preah Kosamak Hospital), plus factory and market workers. A mini mart down the street from me is owned by a lady in her 30's. Her husband is low level police.
2 weeks ago I am at her mart and she's wearing a tank top shirt and has a bright neon orange band aid on her shoulder from her vaccine.
She was strutting and clucking around like a proud hen.....showing off that band aid, lest anyone not notice.
Vaccines are becoming a status symbol in a status obsessed culture.
