Information on Coronavirus / COVID-19 in Cambodia (Latest Updates December 2021)

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Individual sports activities within the geography of the village where they live, avoiding gatherings of more than two (2) people

What's this all about? You can go for a walk around the village? (wherever that is)
So was anyone undertaking some 'sports activities' in the village of Daun Penh...aka...walking along Riverside for some fresh as the sun went down tonight?

The queue of ambulances suggests a roundup.
They don't look very ill to be honest....
Wait a while...
Wait what?

It's been one year that some claim "tomorrow you'll see".

I can already hear "You see it's now".

Nothing during one year when borders open and now? Suddenly...
Open borders? Where, here?

Borders are the same as they were a year ago, save for full 14 days quarantine since August. They have detected many in their test and quarantine process. This was a quarantine breach by Chinese hookers who then went here, there and everywhere in the Chinese community and from there spread to the Khmers.

And, my comment of "wait a while" it was a reference to those people cooped up in an enclosed space with other infected people with zero PPE. That's a plague pit.

The Sihanoukville spray team at work. If you leave your door open, they will come in and spray your house for you. :hattip:
(Idem, if your dog has fleas, leave him outside the door for a good spray.)

None on Monivong.
I crossed the Chbar Ampov bridge (road 1) from the market this afternoon, police manning the roadblock on the bridge were busy with other people in the sparse traffic, I nodded my head in acknolagement that I knew they were there, has I rode past the barrier too my left, if they wanted me to stop they could have done so, has the same as the other vehicle's.
My partner will need her regular daily meditations renewal in a few days time, there's only one place I can obtain the medicine in Phnom Penh, being a pharmacy on Monivong.
But there was my problem, being stopped at the heavy maned roadblock at the bottom of Monivong. No matter how much I explained to the police they would not let me pass. I was told to follow Yothapol Khemarak Phoumin Blvd (271) I went all the way up to the Cafe racer accessory shop on Street 1966.
Streets to the left and right side had barriers and being manned by police, there was no way that they would let me pass into the area of my left, Russian market area, or Tuol Kork.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
