Cyber-Crime Unit Arrest Teenager for Sharing Pornography

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): The Anti Cyber Crime Department arrested an 18-year-old boy, Yol Theara, for sharing pornography on Telegram, in Sangkat Prey Sor, Khan Donkor, Phnom Penh.

On March 05, 2020, the Lieutenant Chea Pov, the director of the Anti Cyber Crime Department, said the suspect made an account name KYOUN EDUY and shared the pornography on a group which had 10,000 members on Telegram.

The police arrested the suspect on March 4, 2020, after receiving the order from Mr. Keo Theara, the prosecutor of Phnom Penh court. The lieutenant said using the Telegram for sharing the pornography is illegal and insulted to the value of Cambodian women, culture, tradition, and civilization.
