Re: Thailand Travel Restrictions and Info
Three of my friends traveled today through Thailand. No vaccine proof, no negative test required.
Re: Thailand Travel Restrictions and Info
I just arrived in the Suvarnabhimbi Airport
At Singapore’s Changi Airport while I check-in I asked the lady what sort of restriction or checks she told me there’s nothing and she did not receive any new instructions yet.
So there was no checks in me nor question asked. Likewise in Thailand incoming process.

They say "to support tourists involved in accidents". If that means insurance cover for medical care costs following accident trauma, I'm all for it. I'd love to buy such a product but the insurance industry does not provide it as a stand-alone.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 5:27 pm and another stupid idea soon to go into effect

another change??

another change??
Thailand’s Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said today (Thursday) that tourists from India and China, both countries which require a negative RT-PCR test result and US$10,000 health insurance coverage when entering, will be required to take out health insurance coverage which covers COVID-19 for the duration of their stay in Thailand plus seven days.
He also said that arriving tourists who develop respiratory disease symptoms will be required to undergo rapid antigen and/or PCR tests and samples of waste water from all flights from China will be tested for COVID-19 variants and sub-variants.
.......Thai immigration officials will randomly check the insurance coverage of these passengers and, if they do not have such documents, they will be advised to take out a health insurance coverage before entering Thailand, said Anutin.

Re: Thailand Travel Restrictions and Info
I flew in yesterday one way no problems. Emirates check in guy at Manchester seemed more concerned that I had the Singapore arrival app on my phone than anything. But I did show him my air Asia passes for KL and Bangkok.
Guy at Singapore didn't want to let me thought to T4 bus because I only had digital BP.. he got bored of me in the end and let me through after writing down a very important number lol
Bkk....first immigration area chaos..lines down the ramp. Went to second one.. straight through all he wanted was my last boarding pass 45 days boom.
Took me longer to walk down to lower level and get change then up to departures to grab a taxi than getting through immigration.

Please don't confuse my personality with my attitude. The former is me, the latter a reflection of you.

https://phuket-go.com/phuket-news/phuke ... isa-agent/Two visa agents have contacted Phuket GO today with information that Phuket Immigration are refusing to process any new visa applications for Chinese citizens. They also confirmed that people applying for new Retirement visas must now go to to Pattaya Immigration for photograph and proof of funds – they can’t currently be processed in Phuket. In both cases, for Chinese citizens or people on current retirement (O or OA) visas, renewals are being processed locally. It only applies to NEW applications.
This trip to Pattaya may also apply to people doing the O visa themselves whilst in Thailand.

Re: Thailand Travel Restrictions and Info
Thailand welcomed 11.15 million foreign arrivals in 2022, smashing 10 million target
judging by the traffic here and the news i get from friends in CM and Bangkok, they will easily hit 25 million target that want this year once the Chinese really start arriving.
So starting in june, 300 baht/ arrival, thats a nice chunk of Baht

https://phuket-go.com/phuket-news/natio ... on-target/A total of 11.15 million foreign tourists visited Thailand during 2022, a huge increase on the 428,000 figure from 2021. Last year’s total arrivals have also exceeded the 10 million target set by the tourism and sports ministry in the middle of the year, with the top 3 source markets being Malaysia, India, and Singapore (and then Russia leading the way over the last 3 months of 2022).
In December alone, the kingdom welcomed 2.24 million foreign arrivals, a big jump on the 230,497 from the same period in 202

Re: Thailand Travel Restrictions and Info
Arrived at BKK couple hours ago from PNH, 8.5hr transit so thought I'd head out for a feed and a few beers as I've done in the past....got to Passport control and decided to scrap that idea, queues were all the way down the ramps and stretched for at least 100m back, then noticed a sign saying "approximate wait time 1 hour +".
Re: Thailand Travel Restrictions and Info
Wonder if that one hour wait time is Thai time or normal time?
