The authority has also authorised an easing of some restrictions on domestic flights.

Are you sure, PRichard? I can't find this on the site, having looked from top to bottom. There is nothing on the Khaosod front page right now except fresh news. It definitely would be a great shame if it's closing down.
In other news, the Bangkok Herald hasn't updated its front page in many weeks.

Yeah, but there is still something weird about this. Why not put a story on the front page of Khaosod English. Surely the owners want to make it clear that it's official policy to dump the English service. Not a huge surprise since there's virtually no English advertising of any kind in this day of pandemics and no tourism. Unless, some insider put up the notice that has yet to be approved by the owners. Of course, since when is there business logic in Thailand.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 10:47 am https://www.khaosodenglish.com/category/news/

Re: Thailand Travel Restrictions and Info
possible good news for tourists
BREAKING: Thailand will reduce mandatory quarantine from 14 to seven days starting April for foreigners arriving in the country who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, Health Minister Anutin Charnvirankul said on Monday.
Vaccinations must be administered within three months of the travel period and travellers will be required to show negative COVID-19 test results, he said, adding that those who have not been inoculated but have COVID-19 free certificates would be quarantined for 10 days
As with anything, it’s not law until it’s published in the royal gazette. So don’t celebrate yet if this is good news for you. There is a cabinet meeting tomorrow and so we should get more details soon. For example, dates and if it’s restricted to certain countries and/or vaccines.

Re: Thailand Travel Restrictions and Info
although this is good news this really concerns me.
"........Vaccinations must be administered within three months of the travel period"
so if u get ur shot now, you have 3 months to get to Thailand ( shot in March, must arrive before end of june)
so are they looking at it that the vaccine is only good for 3 months??
PLUS you still need the covid negative test, and with JUST that test you save 4 days in quarantine.
lets see what they Officially come up with
OCT: welcome to the New high season

https://news.yahoo.com/thailand-cut-qua ... 26155.htmlThe new measures do not apply to those travelling from Africa, who would still be subject to quarantine for two weeks due to concerns about other variants of the virus.
After October, if Thailand inoculates 70% of medical personnel and at-risk groups, there could be more easing of restriction, Anutin said, adding it was possible quarantine could be waived completely.
Thailand has so far vaccinated 27,497 people, mostly medical workers, using the Sinovac Biotech vaccine. It has ordered 61 million doses in total of the AstraZeneca vaccine with mass vaccinations slated to begin in June
