I have been back in the USA and missed my birthday last month. My wife got me a chocolate cake in 2018.
Be back in 9 days.
By the way, a chocolate cake is a bit tricky compared to a white cake. I worked with a master wedding cake baker and made many myself.
They take longer to bake and you have to be very careful with the oven temp.
She is a future Pro..

this might of been covered in another thread but curious. What role does the mother take regarding raising children? Guess every situation would be different but assume the Western father plays a bigger role then if both parents were Western. Again, every khmer mother can/is different and come with different experiences. I was talking to this khmer woman who works in a bank and she mentioned wanting a western husband and I asked why. What were some of her reasons / rationale
One that stood out to me was she felt Western men were smarter. I know this can be a loaded statement and many reasons she might feel this way. both right nd wrong.

But my main question ws about the roles a Western husband would take that might be different because of the relationship

Just from these pics I commend Mishmash and positive there are others tht go thru situations like this..in order to raise a child in the most nurturing, loving, curious environment

Good work Mash. But you have to follow it up by letting her practice on other things like cooking eggs , hotdogs and other things. It's surprising what they can do if you just stand back and watch and only give advice.

Thanks Duncan, It surprises me every day. I have 7 kids ranging from 3.5 to 36. Yeah gotta be the hotdogs - thanks for the suggestion
