Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they’re taking a “step back” from the royal family

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

Woke seems, in fact, to be a bit like Royal couples - they will live in your head rent free if you give them half a chance.
And also are barely relevant outside the internet. It’s really really REALLY easy not to get called a racist in real life, literally all you have to do is not be racist.

Chad Sexington wrote: Sat Nov 20, 2021 6:00 pm Ok, so now we know what news channels people shouldn’t follow, pray tell, which news channel(s) do you recommend for unbiased reporting of facts that is/are free of agenda based opinions?
There is a handy site https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/ which rates outlets on both bias and factual accuracy. It can even help you find a news outlet that helps confirm your existing biases without resorting to making shit up, if that’s what you want.

The BBC is always an interesting case because most leftists criticise it for being pro-establishment; see for example the hatchet job they did on Corbyn.
It’s a pretty good indicator that they’re not too biased when all sides complain about bias. What you don’t see them criticised too much for however is inaccuracy - so much so that when a BBC producer does slip up from time to time there’s a massive national hoo-hah with all the other outlets piling on, even though it’ll be over something on the level that a Murdoch rag does literally every day of the year.

Being right wing is NOT A CRIME, it is a legitimate political standpoint. The left wing just cannot stomach any views other than their own and just start chanting their usual anthems: Racist - Misogynist - Homophobe - Transphobe - Islamophobe etc etc, like well trained foot soldiers of the woke army. Not an original thought among them.

People who don't like it shouldn't watch it. I don't like the BBC so.... I don't watch it.
I’m not criticising them for being right wing, I’m criticising them for being propaganda outlets that hold the truth as being of secondary importance.

They do however love to play the victim when called on it, just as you’ve done there.
"propaganda" you gave the game away using that word.

Victim? Me? That's a laugh. How am I playing victim? I'm coming out swinging mate.

The search and need for victimhood status is now a national disease. People used to deal with their problems with stoicism and fortitude, now we have a nation full of cry-babies. If that's progress you can keep your progressive society.

“Right wing is not a crime”? “ Racist - Misogynist - Homophobe - Transphobe - Islamophobe”?

You have a fictionalised imaginary notion of this quasi-fascist army of leftists that are coming to get you and that you have to defend yourself from. The reality is that they don’t actually exist outside of hysterical pieces in outlets just like GBN and Fox. You’ve been duped into fighting a war that doesn’t exist. The only time you’re ever likely to be called a racist is if you’re actually being a racist.

I’m not right wing. I abstain from wings.
However, doc has a point. Any one not woke is shouted down as not being correct.

Incidentally, Doc, you do know that Alf Garnett was intended to be a satirical figure for mockery yeah? Warren Mitchell was a Jewish Socialist Atheist who played the character as a pig-ignorant out-of-touch moron to be the butt of the jokes. Garnett wasn’t supposed to be an aspirational figure to look up to…

When?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone get “shouted down” for not being woke enough. I have occasionally seen people get called out for posting bigoted hateful shit, is that what you meant?

You are quoting out of context to distort my message. Do it properly:

Being right wing is NOT A CRIME, it is a legitimate political standpoint. The left wing just cannot stomach any views other than their own and just start chanting their usual anthems: Racist - Misogynist - Homophobe - Transphobe - Islamophobe etc etc

And none of this in any way portrays a victim, it was commentary on your ludicrous dismissal of GBN, just because of their political base, all if which was irrelevant to the article in question. But as it was GBN you couldn't help yourself. It seems you're the one fighting a war.

You have a fictionalised imaginary notion of this quasi-fascist army of leftists that are coming to get you and that you have to defend yourself from.

That's some imagery you are deploying there. If you think you have people like me frightened and on the run, think again.

Anyway, how do you know about such hysterical pieces on GBN and FOX? Do you watch these channels, or did you read it in the Guardian? Post a few clips of all this hysteria on GBN about these "quasi-fascist" lefties coming to get me. I enjoy a good laugh.

Finally, the only time I was ever called a racist was by some smug leftie on the TV, by virtue of voting to leave the E.U.

In life in general - doesn’t happen so much on here, I agree. Something to do with demographics I expect

LOL, that’s the second time in as many posts that you seem to think it somehow brave and unintimidated to post on an anonymous Internet forum. It’s also clear that from your response that you didn’t really understand a word of what I said, or at the very least chose to ignore it.
