Hard, critical thinking isn’t taught anymore in the universities and other educational institutions in the west, how can we expect the Khmer to have such skills?

Personalised number plates raise $6 million for state
Sales of personalised number plates have raised $6 million dollars, according to the minister of Public Works and Transport, Sun Chanthol.
Chanthol said two thousand personalised number plates have been sold since sales began in January.
The comments came from the minister during the launch of the new Public Service Centre at Chip Mong Noro Mall on Wednesday, in Phnom Penh.
Spokesman of the ministry, Heang Sotheayuth, told Khmer Times yesterday that proceeds from the sales will be credited to the state budget.
“The decision to begin selling personalised number plates was made to facilitate the needs of society. It is also convenient for those who want a personal plate that proves their identity,” he said.
“This kind of plate allows officers to check the identity of owners, which makes it easier to spread information to relevant authorities, especially if a traffic accident occurs,” he added.

Personalised plates brings $15 million in gov’t revenue
Orm Bunthoeurn | Publication date 02 December 2021 | 20:38 ICT
Over the course of the first 11 months of this year, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport netted $15.23 million from selling personalised number plates and special number plates for vehicles.
The ministry said on December 1 that it sold 4,802 personalised number plates, earning around $8.5 milion, and 25,364 special number plates nationwide that earned $6.73 million.
Koy Sodany – the ministry’s secretary of state and chairperson of the inter-ministerial commission to manage sales for special and personalised number plates – said the ministry plans to promote the sale of personalised number plates to private companies and to continue their digital advertising campaign.
“The real achievements are how widely advertised the service became and how much more organized our system for making sales has gotten from year to year,” she said.
“Celebrating the two-year anniversary of the launch of the personalised special number system, a workshop was held on the procedures for the sale of personal special registration numbers for cars in the capital and provinces to promote better understanding of it as well as registration of family cars and light vehicles with special plates,” she said.

Can you spell dirty words on the plates?
Re: Cambodia is Introducing (Paying) Personalized Car Plates
No. But you can have “barang” or “police”, or at least till it comes to pay.
