Kampot Cop Run Over While Directing Traffic

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Offtopic, is this for real? I'd settle for any improvement over the hospitals in pp which feel more like hospices.

Amazing/Sad/Unfortunate when someone is injured an there is no hospital nearby and you need travel to another country to get treatment>
Kampot to PP is only like 3 + hours
Vietnam hospitals are closer, cheaper and often better. Bear in mind the border is 20 mins drive from Kampot town, if in a hurry.
DAM: 51 kms in 20 minutes>
Ur lucky to drive to Kep, only 18 kms away in 20 minutes :beer3:
is there a good hospital at Ha Tien?

Cause Kampot to Saigon is around 380 kms

It's 40km, if you don't go as far as kampong trach. And yeah, better hospitals in Vietnamese cities and towns than here...
huh? so where is the hospital in Vietnam better than the hospital in Kampot?
Name please and even if its only 40kms, and the hospital is right at the border, 20 minutes on those roads

If you're that curious, why not call the traffic cops and ask where they sent him?

Theres a pretty good private hospital on Phu Quoc, that would probably be best in terms of bang per buck versus distance.

There is a hospital in Ha Tien and Kien Giang, but no idea what they are like.

It's very well run and designed.

Quite busy, naturally too.
