Generator Rental?

Anyone here rent a generator for their business or home? If so how much monthly, for what size of power output, and what company? Our small street of neighbors of 5 houses has talked about it in passing ...renting a medium sized one but I couldn't even start to guess at the fees and thought I'd ask here before I start calling generator companies.

I was looking at a fairly large hotel with a hotel-sized generator a couple of years ago. The monthly rental of the generator was $250.
