Singapore Man Asks to Go Home After 6-7 Year Overstay
Cambodia News(Phnom Penh): On December 3, 2019, at 11:30 am, a 58-year-old Singaporean man, NGAI MENG YIP, went to the Investigation and Procedure Office at the Immigration Department in Phnom Penh, asking their help to send him back to Singapore.
The man has visited Cambodia frequently, but his last visa extension was issued on 27 February 2012, and it expired one year later on 28 February 2013. Subsequently, his passport expired in September 2013, and ever since then, he has been living illegally in Cambodia. He was staying on the street as a homeless man until he decided to go to the Immigration Department to ask them to deport him.
