Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On November 28, 2019, at 1:30 am, a KTV woman and her boyfriend were attacked by their Chinese bosses, at Jin Jon KTV, near Phnom Penh International Airport, Khan Porsenchey, Phnom Penh.

The KTV woman who was a KTV captain said that before the incident, she and her boyfriend went to work as usual. Then, she had an argument with one of the Chinese bosses about a KTV worker who was really a man, but was madeup to look like a girl for his work at the KTV.
Suddenly, 3 to 4 Chinese bosses took the woman out of the KTV and slapped her. Her boyfriend came to help her, and he also got attacked by the Chinese bosses. Local people, who saw them being beaten, came to help them.

After the incident, the victims filed the complaint at Chom Chao police station.

And what the fuck is this?

If she's working at a KTV then presumably she's over 18...We get the pleasure of seeing some random greasy, shit-breath motodop, but not her?

I want to see what kind of action the locals are getting at these karaoke joints.

The woman has laid a complaint with police because she is a victim of a violent attack by her boss. As a victim, the woman deserves to remain anonymous if she wishes. The photos were published like this in the Khmer news. There are no photos of the alleged attacker(s).

Decimation for the Chinese bosses, then confiscate the business, and sign it over to the Khmer staff as equal shares.

Its not just a KTV thing. Captain is like floor manager. in charge of the girls, usually applies to places with dancers or hostesses. many years ago the playboy club had captains looking aftet the cocktail waitresses, the croupiers and the dancers
