Visa married now available?

Post by kerberus »

Is there now a (more easy) visa type for people who are married to a khmer available?

BTW: You can get a ER visa around 30 if you only work abroad and NOT in Cambodia?

There is no spousal visa in Cambodia.

You can get a retirement visa if you can prove retirement. If you are working abroad then you are not retired, you are working.

How do you prove something doesn't exist? :)
You could be next.

Yes there is.

It’s a EB VISA extension subset. Working in the Kingdom not permitted, unless work permit is obtained.

Proof of marriage required (ie, official Kingdom permission letter). Can be extended for up to a year.

Easy way. Call Kim to arrange, pay money. Up to 1 business day turnaround available.

Or do it yourself and save a few Riel. As for me, my time is more valuable than waiting in line and filling out forms in Khmer at some office.

I believe that would require some official government paper from your country saying you are ‘retired’. Morally, I would feel bad lying to my government and the Cambodian government about being retired at age 30, when in fact, I am still working.

Note: Applicants are no longer permitted to apply directly at the DoI for an EB EOS based on marriage to a Cambodian Citizen. The only way to do it now is through an agent like Call Kim, therefore you are forced to pay $100+ of the official 12 month EOS fee of $180.
