The Outer Islands...anyone been?

I've done Koh Rong and KR Sanloem.
First choice is I'd really like to explore Koh Poulo Wai but I'm not sure about the legalities since there is Navy personnel there. Second choice would be Koh Tang. Anyone ever been to these or other outer islands? If so how did you get there? Allowed to stay overnight? I've seen dive companies advertising but I'm not interested in diving,. I'm sure I could get one of the fishing boats but I'm not sure how long that journey would take so would prefer something a little quicker.

I've been to Koh Prins. 6-hour trip and slept on the boat.
