Teenage Truck Driver Smashes into Houses in Phnom Penh
With the multitude of vehicles driving into houses recently, we may need to start a special thread. Here's another one:
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On November 05, 2019, at 11:25 am, a teenage boy, who was driving a container truck, plate no.SKV 3A-1221, at reckless high speed, smashed into houses in Sangkat Chomchao 2, Khan Porsenchey, Phnom Penh.
One of the house owners said that she had just picked her kids up from school, when the truck suddenly smashed into her house. The kids were frightened, but unhurt, and the family evacuated the premises immediately.
The local people said the truck was driving really fast when it hit the houses. The driver said that he doesn't know what happened but the steering turned off the road and hit the houses.
Note that the driver did not run away, and the representative of the truck company came to sort the problem out and agreed to pay for the compensation to the house owners.

Actually i believe it seeing the state of the trucks belching black stinking shite everywhere - brake failure, no lights, loose linkages run into the ground death traps
Re: Teenage Truck Driver Smashes into Houses in Phnom Penh
But will the steering be checked by the police and if found to be ok the driver get charged with dangerous driving or driving without due care and attention , ???

Fatigue, microsleep. Fall sleep for 1 second, explain why he lose control.
So much truck movement, lack of trucks, probably lack of drivers, everyone is doing overtime.
