Re: Search On for Missing Woman AMELIA BAMBRIDGE on Koh Rong, Cambodia (RIP)
A common scenario is for people to dive into shallow water, no matter how careful one can be none of us are perfect, we can only just do our best to lesson the odds. When i think back on how many times I could of been a statistic......well I'm sure we can all relate to that.ExPenhMan wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 9:25 amExcellent news. Nothing gained by speculating what an official autopsy will find, but I too feel there's been some foul play. Amelia is said to be conscientious and careful, one clue being her bag that showed how well prepared she tended to be. I am more confident of a thorough investigation now that the CPU is involved.CEOCambodiaNews wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 12:44 am Breaking News: CEO News has received information from the Child Protection Unit (CPU) that the CPU homicide team is heading to Sihanoukville tonight with a forensic pathologist to assist the Cambodian National Police in their investigation into the death of Amelia Bambridge.
RIP young lady, you seem like a beautiful soul.

AFAIK the CPU team have at least one Australian forensic pathologist, and they will have done a professional examination, so it will be interesting to see their results.

Also, not blabbing to the press until after the family have all the results and conclusions shows some professionalism!Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 5:32 pm AFAIK the CPU team have at least one Australian forensic pathologist, and they will have done a professional examination, so it will be interesting to see their results.

This is seriously bad news. I have never had a problem of any kind here but I’m not an 18 year old white girl. Hope she is found fit and wellCEOCambodiaNews wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 7:40 pm Breaking News:
Amelia Bambridge has been reported missing on Koh Rong Island, off the coast of Sihanoukville, and her friends are worried about her as she was last seen at a party on Police Beach at 3am the night before last. There're have been no sightings of her since then and her possessions are still in her room according to social media reports. Local police have been notified and her family has been contacted.
Latest report today says that Amelia is still missing, and foreign residents are preparing dive teams to check the coastal areas close to the scene tomorrow.
Good luck to all and let's hope that Amelia will be found safe.

British backpacker Amelia Bambridge, who went missing in Cambodia, died from accidental drowning, a post-mortem examination has concluded.
The body of the 21-year-old was found about 30 miles from the island of Koh Rong, where she was last seen at a beach party eight days earlier.
Ms Bambridge, from Worthing, West Sussex, was reported missing when she failed to check out of her hostel.
Officials said her death was "not related with any other crime at all".
Her body was taken to Sihanoukville on the mainland after it was recovered on Thursday.
The post-mortem results were confirmed by Sihanoukville Information Department and local police.
Officials said her body had been released to the family who would be able to return her to the UK immediately.

[Mod edit: no need for speculation here thanks]
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST
