Attack on Saudi refinery

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

Swarms of low tech weapons and asymmetrical warfare are definitely a threat even before this drone attack.

A few years ago the Pentagon held a wargaming scenario of Iran blocking the strait of Hormuz and bringing the US into conflict.

The wily Iranian player attacked with swarms of speedboats, eventually sinking a US aircraft carrier. (Unlike in Imperial Japan, the wargame continued after this loss. Japan wargamed the battle of Midway, losing 3 carriers. Results were declared void.) The US eventually won the conflict, ableit at a high cost.

A weak US president may have sued for peace after such a heavy loss and not continued until eventual victory.

The price spike in oil is gone already with the Saudi statement that production will be back to normal within 2 weeks.
The damage is not as bad as originally thought.

A strong US president would have found a way to pacify the conflict.
OR, if he chose instead, beaten them in real live combat.

A weak US president war games and tweets.

FDR has been ranked as third best President of the USA consistently over the past 60 years. Abraham Lincoln and George Washington rank higher but no one alive ever lived under their guidance and as such it is the legend of these men that people admire.

Major surviving programs and legislation implemented under Roosevelt include the Securities and Exchange Commission, the National Labor Relations Act, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Social Security, and the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938.

Roosevelt set up in 1933 the Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA), which gave grants and loans to states to operate relief programs; the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), which in 9 years employed 3 million young men in manual labor jobs related to conservation and development of natural resources; the Agricultural Adjustment Administration (AAA), which by 1935 increased the income generated by farms by 50% by paying farmers subsidies to reduce crop production.

FDR was a Democrat, probably considered a socialist by today's standards. How I wish America had a man with his courage, conviction and empathy at the helm today.

Now Pompeo is on his way to Saudi to take orders from the murdering king.

I guess they have to send the secretary of state since the secretary of defense was sacked a few days ago.

Maybe Bolton knew what was coming down the pike and jumped ship to avoid the blowback.

I have just watched a number of videos on a website about body language. They interpret Trump's. Putin's, Clinton's and the murderous Saudi POS.
The Putin / Trump meetings are very interesting as is the one when the Saudi POS and Putin high five each other.

We are in for a world of hurt if what this expert says is true.
Just so you don t think this is another one of my anti orange clown jabs, he read Clinton's body language and said she was arrogant, condescending and entitled and would not win the last election because regardless of what she said people would see her true self.

A man with my kind of thinking.

I have always said the next big war will be won by the side that uses drones as the first weapon of choice especially if it is produced as cheap as and as fast as a can of coke rolling off the factory production line.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Many years ago a lawyer told me " when you have nothing, you have nothing to lose" . It was probably one of the best pieces of advice I have ever been given. Since then I have won a number of settlements where at the outset I had little more than determination on my side. Big organizations may have a lot of resources but they have a lot of structure, each cog defending their own turf. In a David v Goliath battle, Goliath usually is complacent and overly self-confident. A multi-pronged attack that creates havoc and confusion is as effective in a courtroom as it is on a battlefield. The North Vietnamese taught America 50 years ago, when you are fighting for what you believe in, a big regimented foe is not invincible.
